Energy

Do you feel like you are on a 24/7 rhythm? Hopefully not.

Unfortunately a lot of people work more than 40 hours in a week

Even just being a mum with interrupted sleep and no weekend of can be tiring.

Life has become busy and often we are stretched in how we stay awake, coping with the many stresses of our daily life.

Do you drink a lot of coffee or caffeinated drinks or energy drinks to get you through the day?

Do you know there is a healthier way that actually supports your well being as well as giving you the energy?

The following article maybe a bit scientific, you can skip it and click here to see the video by a cardiologist instead.

Either way share this article to raise awareness.

Malate is an important compound in the production of Energy.

Malate (HO2CCH2CHOHCO2H) is an organic compound, a salt, esters of Malic acid

Malate and the Krebs cycle

Malate is one of the Citric Acids in the Krebs Cycle (Hans A. Krebs 1937) also known as the tricarboxylic acid cycle (TCA cycle).

This process is of central importance in all living cells using oxygen.

The Krebs cycle is part of a chemical reactions which converts carbohydrates, fats, and proteins into carbon dioxide and adenosine triphoshate (ATP) which provides usable energy to the cells for the synthesis of proteins and the replication of deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA).

Humans need ATP to survive, it is a molecule which yields energy and is used by enzymes for a wide range of cellular functions.

This happens in the Mitochondria of the Cells.

Each Cell contains between 500 and 2.000 mitochondria.

The more simple explanation would be that each citric acids involved in Krebs cycle is important for the energy we have available.

According to the Abstract:

Mitochondrial dysfunction and molecular pathways of disease

If the mitochondria doesn’t function properly it could lead to a variety of diseases, some of which could be rather severe. Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyralgia were two of the many mentioned in the article.

Another Abstract: ” Alterations of mitochondrial function and correlations with personality traits in selected major depressive disorder patients” looks at depression and the mitochondrial disorders.

Malate is obviously just one in the chain.

There are other factors which help in providing healthy energy.

A combination of natural ingredients which work in synergy and also maintain a healthy blood sugar level would be of benefit. The video explains how this works (sign in below).

Based on scientific research Malate has been added to the healthy version of an Energy drink, which I personally enjoy, use to give me that extra energy and lift, or/ and use as a coffee replacement

It has helped me with my chronic fatigue symptoms.

  1. Where does chronic fatigue come from and what can be done about it?

    • Chronic Fatigue can be an re – occuring after effect from having had Glandular fever / Ebstein Barr Virus.

From all my personal studies and things I tried it was nutritional supplements.
I did use the best available ones you could buy in the shops and that did help quite a bit.
Then I used pharmaceuticlal grade supplements (including the energy drink I mentioned) which are potency guaranteed and that made a big difference.
Watching and balancing how much physical and emotional work we do helps.
